Awqaf examines with Saudi officials preparations for next Haj season

Dr al Mazeourei meeting Mr Qadi in JeddahHE Dr Hamdan Musallam al Mazrouei, the GAIAE's Chairman held talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with HE Hatim Qadi, the Undersecretary of the Saudi Haj Ministry, ahead of the forthcoming Haj season. Both sides looked into the ongoing preparations and the joint action between the two countries with regard to Haj campaigns from UAE.

Mr Qadi welcomed Dr al Mazrouei and the delegation accompanying him and hailed the positive cooperation between the UAE and the Saudi Haj Ministry, which had benefited pilgrims. He also urged pilgrims to learn about Haj rituals and principles and further inform themselves through the awareness programmes his ministry is organising onsite during Haj season.

On this occasion Dr al Mazrouei reiterated the UAE leadership's keenness to provide all possible means that will ensure maximum comfort for pilgrims, praising the relentless support from HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highness Members of the Supreme Council, The Rulers of the Emirates, and HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The meeting was also attended by Mr Mohammed Obeid al Mazrouei, the head of the UAE official Haj delegation and his deputy, Mr Obeid Hamad al Zaabi, and from the Saudi side by the assistant head of the Haj campaigns, the directors of the Haj Ministry's branch in Mecca and Medina, the representatives of the United Agents Office, the South East Asia Foundation and the General Syndicate of Cars.
